Grant's Island is located in the Savannah River just north of Hwy 119 about 45 minutes from Savannah. This incredible island is minutes from a double concrete ramp called Stokes Bluff Landing in SC and just a little bit further down stream in GA is Tuckasee King Landing.

Grant's Island was formed when the curve in the river was cut to accommodate commerce by barge from Savannah to Augusta many years ago. This created a refuge unlike any along the river. South Carolina's famous Webb Wildlife Center and Management Area borders three sides making this Grant's Island one special piece of real estate because it juts up into the Webb Center. It does not get any more secure and private. The other boundary is the Savannah River with a high bluff and and 20' of water shored up with rock so it will not erode.

Huge hardwood timber covers the island with a great canopy producing tons of forage material for all the wildlife. The hidden lake has incredible fishing. The river is a natural flyway for water fowl migrating from the coast and the ducks cannot help but stop in the old riverbed. Wild boar, trophy bucks, wild turkey and many other game and non-game species of wildlife are present on this special wildlife retreat.

This property can be used for recreation and hunting. It has the opportunity for a conservation easement worth considerable tax credits. It has good investment potential. Or, just use it as your private getaway from the rest of the world.

The owner has put a dock on the river at the bluff and had plans for a cozy cabin. When you sit on the dock looking a mile up or down the river, you certainly are the King of Grant's Island.
